Mike Henrie is currently the Percussion Director at UVSC. He received his Masters Degree in Percussion Performance from BYU. He has toured nationally and abroad with groups ranging from Jazz to Chamber Orchestra. He has been the drummer/percussionist for the Sundance Summer Theatre for the last five years.
In addition to his work with UVSC, Mike is a freelance recording artist, private teacher, high school clinician/judge, and directs the percussion program at Alpine Elementary School. He and his wife have one son, Jack.
Mike is the leader of his own Jazz Quartet (find out more at www.mikehenrie.com). Mike's studio work includes Xena: Warrior Princess Soundtracks (TV), the Duttons' Branson Missouri Show and various studio sessions.
