Okay, it didn't exactly fall out of the sky. You see, many of Party Train's members had fine tuned their talents with another local act, but had been looking for a fresh start. Bassist/vocalist Joining Dave in his quest were vocalists Michele Wilbur and Multi-instrumentalist/vocalist J Bateman, who had been keyboardist and rhythm guitarist with the old band in the mid-nineties, also agreed to re-join his old comradesthis time filling the Lead Guitar chair. Trombonist Brent Arnold and drummer/bassist Rob Ringger rounded out the players in the new band. Our latest addition is our great, phenomenal, truly outstanding and amazing sound engineer Dan Williams - he also serves as our web master! With the aim to become the ultimate party band, the members of Party Train set out to select, arrange and perform the best party music of the modern age. Rehearsals began immediately, with emphasis not only on the highest quality of musicianship, but on showmanship as well. Choreography, props and special effects added just the right balance between a great stage show and musical adventure. If you get right down to the nuts and bolts…well, there aren't any. But that doesn't mean you can't climb aboard the Party Train. In fact, once you do, it doesn't take long to feel the rhythmand when you hear the horns blow, you'll know you're on the right track. The idea really caught on… Almost immediately, high profile gigs, including worldwide conventions, corporate marketing extravaganzas, city celebrations and celebrity weddings, started coming to Party Train. In the first eight months of their existence, Party Train made its way to both Atlanta, Georgia, and Las Vegas, Nevada. Recently, former Young Ambassador Brooke Ringger replaced Michele Wilbur as vocalist, as Michele left for maternity leave. As word of Party Train has spread, the band has enjoyed a consistent demand as one of Utah's premier acts. As such, they were invited by the International Olympics Committee to play not one, but two shows on the Olympics Main Stage on Valentine's Day, 2002. Recently, the band was asked to perform in the "pit" for the performances of Evita at the Scera Theater in September and the Capitol Theater in November. Band member Brooke Ringger will play the lead in the play, with fellow member J Bateman filling the role of Musical Director. And their next stop is entirely up to you… |
